We are seeking an associate to join our Milwaukee office. As an associate, you will be responsible for performing a variety of client assignments across a broad spectrum of industries and service areas. You'll utilize your accounting educational background and internship experience to provide excellent client service and help our clients reach their goals.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform a moderate range of accounting procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement under the supervision of the in-charge to include recording transactions, classifying postings, footing columns and testing extensions to verify accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, preparing statistical/account analysis, and with interim examinations.
Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of returns, and perform limited tax research, with guidance.
Periodically oversee interns to provide work direction and review work assignments.
Frequently interface with client personnel to review and apply accounting and tax principles.
Continually interact with peers and supervisors to gather and prepare information.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience
4-year college degree in Accounting or related field
Previous accounting internship preferred
150 hour requirement completed to sit for CPA exam preferred
Basic PC/SS experience
Ability to travel to client sites
Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in auditing and tax return preparation.
Analytical, yet creative thinking which will enable effective decision making to take place.
Strong goal orientation/self-motivation.
Ability to handle pressure in a positive professional manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
