Job Title: HR Generalist
Reports To: Store Director
Under the direction of the Store Director and Regional HR Manager; deliver on all aspects of the Human Resources function for assigned store. Partners with the Store Director and proactively builds relationships with all leaders and associates to support people, employee relations initiatives, recruiting, retention, and the development of all associates and managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing all employee relations issues at store level
Ensure that all associates are actively engaged and committed to providing high standards of customer service
Partner with store leadership team and proactively creates, maintains and executes on staffing needs for all areas of the store
Responsible for the orientation and onboarding of all store associates
Ensures that development programs and initiatives are executed for all associates at all levels
Coach and train all leaders on applicable legal compliance standards
Assist with the communication program within the store
Participate in specialty store holiday events
Lead all Employee Relations processes and investigations for store and urgently address issues
Responsible for store Kronos exceptions and uploading documents in UltiPro
Review documents for accuracy and completeness and submit to the appropriate HR specialty in the support offices
Coordinate store's uniform supply and laundering program
Coordinate Sunshine Fund gifts and Service Award distribution
Participate in store huddle ups, in-store meetings, and safety meetings
Analyze turnover and proactively address store turnover and drive improvement
Partner with store leaders on driving community engagement with store teams Assist with HR related duties as assigned by the Store Director or Regional HR Manager
Coach and support leaders in having crucial conversations and writing performance evaluations
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships:
Directly reports to the Store Director
Dotted line relationship to the Regional HR Manager
Organization Relationships:
Daily contact with all levels of leadership to provide Employee Relations support
Frequent contact with Corporate Human Resource partners to gain information, work on joint projects and utilize expertise.
Daily contact with in-store associates
External Business Relationships:
Contact with Human Resource peers through SHRM and other organizations.
Contact with HR interest groups, other companies, consulting firms, and a variety of industrial associates to exchange information and keep abreast of new HR developments, best practices, and market trend
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Human Resources or Operations Management experience of at least 2 years is required. PHR/SPHR is preferred. Strong knowledge required in the following:

Recruiting and Staffing Compensation & Benefit program interpretation and training
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Successful partnership with all levels within the organization
Upbeat, positive, and energetic attitude
Excellent time management skills

Sitting at a computer 40% of the time
Bending, stretching, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. is required
Walking the store is an essential part of this role and is expected each day
Professional presence and excellent phone etiquette is required
WORK SCHEDULE
The HR Generalist is a full-time salary position (45 hours). The most common shift to be worked will be 7:30am to 5pm including weekdays, and some weekend days and holidays.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
