Summary:
As the Vice President of Audit and Compliance for Kohler Credit Union, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of compliance and audit functions within our organization.
You will play a vital role in ensuring that our company operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can provide guidance and implement effective compliance and audit programs to safeguard our company's reputation and promote a culture of integrity.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive compliance and audit programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance or operational risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Provide guidance and support to management and employees on compliance-related matters, including policies, procedures, and training programs.
Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging risks, and ensure the company's compliance practices are aligned accordingly.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external regulatory bodies, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure open communication and cooperation.
Conduct internal investigations, as necessary, to address compliance issues, violations, or suspected fraudulent activities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the compliance and audit programs, and provide regular reports to senior management and the board of directors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance and audit requirements into business processes, systems, and initiatives.
Foster a culture of compliance, ethics, and transparency throughout the organization by promoting awareness, training, and accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Relevant compliance/audit certifications preferred.

years experience in compliance and audit functions, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the company's operations.
Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance and audit programs.
Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and manage regulatory relationships.
Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and control frameworks (e.
g.
, COSO, COBIT).
