The individual must follow strict patient identification policies including verification of specimen labels applied to patient samples.
The Phlebotomist has continuous patient contact and acts as an ambassador to our patients and must follow applicable organizational policies.
This position requires the ability to process new information and make informed decisions with EMR documentation.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must be dependable and have the ability to work independently; exhibit problem-solving skills.
Able to develop professional rapport with employees at all levels of the company.
Practices OSHA safety standards and complies with HIPAA at all times.
Must be able to communicate patient concerns to providers.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
High School diploma or GED and appropriate training/certification to perform phlebotomy.
